Ivermectin is an antiparasitic medication used to treat a variety of parasitic infections in humans. It is derived from a class of highly active broad-spectrum antiparasitic agents called avermectins, which are fermentation products of the bacterium Streptomyces avermitilis.
Iverheal 12 is primarily used in humans to treat onchocerciasis, but it may also be effective against other worm infestations such as strongyloidiasis, ascariasis, trichuriasis, and enterobiasis. When applied topically, it may be used to treat head lice infestation. Ivermectin works by paralyzing and killing parasites. In people with weakened immune systems, curing roundworm infections can reduce the risk of developing severe or life-threatening infections. However, Iverheal 6 is not recommended for the treatment of COVID-19 unless the individual is enrolled in a clinical study, as its efficacy and safety for this purpose have not been establishe.
