You can voluntarily change your preselected seat from one category to another; however, you are not eligible for the amount remaining if the newly assigned seat is low-priced. Moreover, you will have to pay the difference if your new seat is high-priced.

Who Gets Free Seat Assignments In Advance With Copa?
You can get an advance seat assignment for free; for that, you must qualify for the below-listed terms;
• You will get this service for free if you are a ConnectMiles Prefer Member.
• Up to 7 companions of Prefer Membership holder get free of cost seat assignment. However, all the members, including the preferred passenger, must have been on the same itinerary.
• Travellers with service animals can assign free seats.
• Children below the age of 12 are granted free seats next to their guardian or the person the adult they are accompanied with.
• Flyers with disabilities can select a seat at zero charges. Their companion is assigned a seat next to them.
