I’ve been exploring the idea of working with a publishing consultant, but I’m curious about how much value they truly add to the process. From what I understand, a consultant can guide you through everything—editing, formatting, marketing, and even choosing between traditional and self-publishing. They seem to bridge the gap, especially for first-time authors like me who feel overwhelmed by the entire publishing process.
I’ve also read that consultants often have connections with book publishing services, which can help streamline the production and distribution of your book. But is it worth the investment? Do they make the process smoother, or are there tasks authors can easily handle independently?
For those of you who’ve worked with a publishing consultant, what was your experience like? Did it impact your book’s success? I’d love to hear your thoughts or advice for someone considering this route.
What would you say is the biggest advantage of hiring a consultant? Or are there other resources you’d recommend instead?
