Zhewitra, which contains the active ingredient vardenafil, is primarily used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED). However, Zhewitra may also be prescribed for other conditions related to blood flow and circulation. Vardenafil, like other PDE5 inhibitors, works by increasing blood flow to certain areas of the body.
It has been studied for potential use in treating pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), a condition where the blood pressure in the arteries of the lungs is abnormally high. By relaxing and widening the blood vessels in the lungs, it can help reduce pulmonary pressure. However, its use outside of ED is not as common, and it should only be used for other conditions under medical supervision.
